The In-Person Portion of the PFI 2020 Annual Conference Is Cancelled

Virtual Options are Being Explored

Members and supporters,

With great regret, the Pellet Fuels Institute has made the decision to cancel the in-person portion of the 2020 PFI Annual Conference scheduled for June 23-26 in Milwaukee. The historic disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has made it impossible for us to safely travel, gather, and connect.

Still, our annual conference is an important touchstone in our calendar year. It serves as a platform to assess the strength of our industry, chart its trajectory, and identify the challenges and opportunities in front of us. Additionally, it is at our annual conference where new board members and officers are welcomed into their roles while others see their terms come to an end. Our conference committee is already working to design and deploy a virtual solution to facilitate these important discussions and transitions. We look forward to sharing that plan with you soon.

We established great momentum for our annual conference in 2019 and were excited to carry it into this year’s conference. Our challenge now is to build a virtual equivalent that delivers as much of the in-person experience as is practicable.

Please watch for updates in next week’s Pellet Wire and on the Pellet Fuels Institute website.

Thank you.
