The Pellet Fuels Institute Annual Conference serves two critical functions for the wood pellet industry. First, the conference provides the year’s best opportunity to connect with wood pellet manufacturers and learn about the trajectory of their market and the policy and regulatory pressures impacting the sector’s growth. The 2026 Annual Conference will find producers in the middle of their annual inventory build-up, with producers in the Midwest and Eastern markets working to replace inventories that were totally depleted during the 2025-26 heating season. Driven by longer stretches of cold weather throughout the predominant wood pellet heating regions of this country, most producers enjoyed brisk sales and exited the season with little or no leftover inventory. Heading into the 2026-27 heating season, pellet producers will be looking to optimize production, complete important capital projects, and rebuild depleted inventory positions. 

The 2026 Pellet Fuels Institute Annual Conference will be held at the beautiful Grand Hotel Golf Resort and Spa, overlooking Mobile Bay. The property’s spa, golf, and pool amenities will provide attendees a perfect opportunity to relax and recharge after a busy conference day.
